John F. Gelson is a Senior Partner of the Firm. Mr. Gelson graduated from the University of Notre Dame, attended the University of Notre Dame Law School at the London School of Economics and earned his law degree from Drake University Law School. He was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1981, and he is licensed to practice in the State and Federal courts in New Jersey as well as before the United States Supreme Court.

Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney, Mr. Gelson Chairs the Firm's Litigation Department and has an active practice involving commercial and general civil litigation. He is frequently appointed by the New Jersey Superior Court as mediator in complex construction and contract litigation in light of his extensive trial experience and additional training certification by the New Jersey Supreme Court in conflict dispute resolution. As a reflection of his expertise and experience, Mr. Gelson has been awarded the highest rating in the Martindale-Hubbel® Law Directory based on confidential opinions of the NJ Bar and Judiciary.

Mr. Gelson served as a senior member of the District III Ethics Committee and as Chairman of the Ocean County Civil Practice Committee. He currently serves on the Boards of numerous and varied alumni and charitable organizations and is also a guest lecturer at Georgian Court College on Business Law and Computer Law. Mr. Gelson is also a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Ocean and Monmouth County Bar Associations.
