Shannon
Fury Curtis
Shannon Fury Curtis earned her Bachelor of Science
from Rutgers University's Cook College and her Juris Doctor from
The George Washington University School of Law. She returned from
Washington, D.C. to New Jersey to serve as Law Clerk to the Honorable
James D. Clyne, Presiding Judge of the Civil Division of the Superior
Court of New Jersey, Ocean County Vicinage.
Ms. Curtis joined the Firm in 1998 and became
a Member in 2007. Her current practice is focused on contract, commercial
and estate litigation as well as health and hospital law. Ms. Curtis
also has significant experience in elder law matters, including
guardianships, advance directives for health care and powers of
attorney. She is often a guest speaker for New Jersey’s largest
health care system on risk management issues pertaining to patient
privacy, capacity and consent.
In 2006 and 2007, Ms. Curtis was named a “Rising
Star” by New Jersey Super Lawyer’s Magazine, a distinction
earned by only 2.5% of the attorneys in the State.
Ms. Curtis is a member of the Ocean Bar Association
and the Monmouth County Bar Association. In her private life, Ms.
Curtis serves as a Trustee and President of the Bay Head School
Foundation and is a Member of the Bay Head Board of Education’s
Blue Ribbon Panel.
