Information Technology Department McLaughlin, Gelson, D'Apolito & Stauffer LLC, has a sophisticated and multi-disciplinary Information Technology practice. The Firm has represented software developers, system integrators and users in connection with system performance and other disputes arising out of software licensing and system installation agreements. The Firm has extensive experience in negotiating Information Technology agreements on behalf of software users. We have reviewed and negotiated hundreds of software licensing, maintenance, outsourcing and web development agreements on behalf of our corporate clients. The Firm advises clients on a variety of other Information Technology matters by drawing upon the expertise of its corporate, employment, and litigation attorneys. Our attorneys have represented Information Technology clients in connection with employee relations and disputes. We have also worked with our clients in developing personnel policies for the use and monitoring of electronic and voice mail, as well as security procedures for the accessing of client systems. Our Litigation Department has handled numerous information technology related cases, representing both software developers and users. The Firm has also assisted clients in coping with the Y2K computer problem. Through contract negotiation and the development of Y2K plans and procedures, we helped to protect our clients from the potential dangers of Y2K-related information system failures. |
