Mediation Department

McLaughlin, Gelson, D'Apolito, Stauffer, & Shaklee, LLC, has created a Mediation Department in order to meet the growing needs of our clients and the clients of other law firms for mediation services.

The Firm's Mediation Department consists of attorneys and staff with years of experience in providing mediation services. Our attorneys routinely appear before Judges, Arbitrators and Mediators and serve as Mediators for a wide range of disputes. The chairman of the Mediation Department, John F. Gelson, has been approved by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Court-Appointed Mediator since 1994 and frequently serves as a Court-Appointed Mediator throughout the State of New Jersey. Richard Shaklee has served as a Court Appointed Mediator since 2002 and has successfully mediated disputes in a variety of fields.

Drawing upon the varied expertise of its attorneys, the Mediation Department is qualified to handle matters spanning a broad spectrum of disciplines. For example, our attorneys have extensive experience in drafting, negotiating and litigating computer software license and service agreements. Such experience allows the Mediation Department to offer attorneys and mediators who are particularly suited to computer and technology related mediations. The Mediation Department has similar specialized expertise in construction law, healthcare and employment matters.
